Overview

The Aberdare Range rises from Nairobi's highland edge into a world of ancient cedar forests, bamboo groves, and open moorlands draped in mist. This trek ascends through lush montane forest alive with black-and-white colobus monkeys and forest elephants, reaching the thundering Gura Falls — Kenya's highest waterfall at 300 metres — and the spectacular Karuru Falls cascade. Upper moorlands reveal giant lobelias, heather fields, and on clear days, sweeping views across the Rift Valley to the Kinangop Plateau.
